This week, Tintagel is celebrating its annual Carnival. Highlights include a Children’s Fun Evening and Dog Show on Wednesday, a treasure hunt on Thursday and the Grand Carnival Parade on Saturday evening.
It’s also Padstow Carnival Week – with entertainment including live music, quizzes and activities for all the family.
The Hall for Cornwall presents George’s Marvellous Medicine this week, running between Thursday 5th and Sunday 8th August – a great way to spend an afternoon should the British weather let us down! Mitre Players will be performing ‘Moby Dick! The Musical’ at the Minack Theatre at Porthcurno until Friday 6th August, and St Endellion Music Festival also runs until Friday.
And be sure to get to Newquay towards the end of the week, as the Relentless Boardmasters starts on Wednesday 4th and runs til Sunday 8th. Acts including Razorlight, James Blunt, Feeder and Groove Armada will be performing at this year’s festival, which will also see international professional surfers competing to win the 5 Star ASP World Qualifying event.
