Cornwall Events August | Pendennis Cup | Falmouth Week | Fowey Regatta
The 2010 Pendennis Cup takes place in Falmouth this week – the event includes super yacht racing and a comprehensive onshore entertainments programme. Whilst you’re in Falmouth, why not go along to Pendennis Castle where a nautical week is planned (ending on Friday 13th) – daily activities will involve making signal flags, games and trying on maritime costumes!
Camelford Agricultural Show takes place on Wednesday 11th August – this annual show is hugely popular with families and provides a great day out for all ages.
The Mining Villages Festival week starts this Saturday (14th) – events will take place in St Day, Lanner, Portreath and Carharrack, as well as at King Edward Mine, Beacon.
Fowey Regatta and Carnival Week also starts this weekend (Sunday 15th) – with daily sailing races, a Red Arrows display and a spectacular firework display over the harbour.
Finally, if you are bringing your dog with you on holiday, take him along to Duloe Family Fun Dog Show on Sunday (15th) – the show will host 14 classes including Best Trick and Fancy Dress!
